Flu Shot

In the spirit of preventative medicine, I got a flu shot today. My firm paid for it so I said, what the hell, and did it. My arm is a little sore, but it's not so bad.

New Place!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, but I haven't had anything interesting to say in a while. Until today. Congratulate me because I am now the proud renter of a North Phoenix condo. I'll post more on it later. With Love.

Theme Song

Have you ever wished you had a theme song? Sometimes when I hear a song on the radio I think, I wish my life was like that. I would really like my theme song to be "Since You Been Gone" by Kelly Clarkson or "Over You" by Daughtry, but it's really more like "All Bymyself" by Eric Carmen. Hopefully in the future, I'll be able to claim a great theme song. Love you all!

It's Election Day

Make sure you get out there and vote today. Don't think your one vote doesn't make a difference because it does. Do your duty as an American citizen and participate in the democratic process.

This post is a little late, but I just wanted to thank my wonderful family for being so fun and loving when I visited them a few weeks ago. All of you are great.

Freaked out!

So I freaked out this morning. Ya'll know I booked a flight for Maggie and myself for Christmas. The reason I booked it through United is because they allow dogs as checked baggage and they don't have restrictions for cold weather (or so I thought, b/c their website didn't say anything about cold restricitions). Yesterday just to make sure, I e-mailed their customer service to ask. This morning I read the reply that they do not allow dogs to fly below 45 degrees. What!?! I wish I would have known this, or I wouldn't have booked it. So all morning I was freaked out and sad that all of my well laid plans were going to waste. Was I going to have to book a different flight or cancel the one I already had? I tried calling customer service and got some chick in India that didn't understand what I was saying and told me that the ticket counter agent is the only one who can make the determination on whether to allow the dog on the flight. At lunch time, I decided to take action. I trucked out to Sky Harbor Airport to ask. The lady at the ticket counter was so nice and helpful. They said they had never turned a dog away for cold and they didn't even know about the cold restriction! (It is actually a blanket restriction through the FAA, I looked it up.) I don't think I'll have any problems, but I have a friend on standby just in case they say she can't fly with me when I get to the airport. I'm very relieved and thankful. I hope I get that same ticket agent in December!

Christmas!

There is a little light in my life today. I booked my flight for Christmas! Yeah (Thanks Mom, I love you!) I'm very excited and overanxious to see the family again. It's good to be around people that you love and that love you. I will also be traveling with Miss Maggie. I'm sure I will have extreme anxiety up to the day we leave about traveling with her. It will be her first flight and I hope all goes well. I'll keep ya'll up to date on the plans as it gets closer.
